This is a Master Weave Tabriz carpet. The carpet is measured in Raj, which is the number of knots in an area of approximately 7 cm. This carpet is 70 Raj -- 1 million knots per square metre. The wool used in this carpet is Kork wool with silk highlights. Renowned for its exceptional softness, durability, and a subtle, luxurious sheen, Kork wool is highly sought after for creating fine Persian carpets. The base foundation of this carpet is silk.
The knots used in this carpet are Turkish symmetrical knots, which wraps yarn around twice and pulls it through the centre, which makes the carpet very durable compared to asymmetrical knots.
